Environista

Mother Earth is now in Danger! Calling out all the SUPERHEROES of the EARTH! You are tasked for a very important mission, save humanity and promote conservation of our environment!THE BIGGEST, GRANDEST and MOST AWAITED FASHION in LYCEUM OF THE PHILIPPINES UNIVERSITY is now on the search for the NEXT ENVIRONISTA 2013 with its theme, MARVEL: AGENTS OF THE ENVIRONMENT!

That was the Event on how the Students of Lyceum Of The Philippines University (Manila) can show or save our Environment in means of recycling things to build a superhero Costume.

Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which we

live. Recycling is important to both the natural environment and us.

When we recycle, used materials are converted into new products, reducing the need to consume natural resources. If used materials are not recycled, new products are made by extracting fresh, raw material from the Earth, through mining and forestry.

Recycling helps conserve important raw materials and protects natural habitats for the future.

Using recycled materials in the manufacturing process uses considerably less energy than that required for producing new products from raw materials – even when comparing all associated costs including transport etc.

Plus there are extra energy savings because more energy is required to extract, refine, transport and process raw materials ready for industry compared with providing industry-ready materials.

The Environment is the most important resource for life.
We get water, power and Oxygen from the Environment.
It helps to clear pollution and is a large habitat for animals.
We get lots of resources from there but if we use too much and it doesn't come from sustainable forests
we may run out of resources.
Which is not good.

that's why they made this event so that we can see the importance of our environment and the importance of recycling.

Do your part to reduce waste by choosing reusable products instead of disposables. Buying products with minimal packaging (including the economy size when that makes sense for you) will help to reduce waste. And whenever you can, recycle paperplastic, newspaper, glass and aluminum cans. If there isn't a recycling program at your workplace, school, or in your community, ask about starting one. By recycling half of your household waste, you can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.
